California Film Schools

Some of the best film schools in the world are located in the film capital of the world, California. The UCLA department of film and television is constantly updating their repertoire in order to offer the most current and innovative training for students entering the field of film. The department offers degrees such as Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television, and Master of Fine Arts in Production/Directing, Screenwriting, Animation, and the Producers Program. Degrees also include Master of Arts. Alumni includes Francis Ford Coppola and Danny DeVito. The San Francisco State University cinema department was founded during the wild years of the 1960’s. To this day, it advocates distinctiveness in the media form. The liberal arts undergraduate education curriculum attempts to promote creativity and independent thinking. The B.A program includes study in film history, film theory, and studies in screenwriting and production.
