Film acting schools can be anything from the top film schools in the world, to private, one-on-one lessons with an acting coach. One of the best known film acting schools is the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, which has been around for over a hundred years. Located in Hollywood, California, strives to cultivate acting talent for the stage, television, and film. Sometimes acting schools set up their curriculum via workshops. The Actors Workshop, located in Orange County, has been around since the 1970’s. It offers skills in audition techniques, cold readings, on-camera scene work and weekly opportunities to meet L.A. casting directors. Julliard School, located in New York City, is another very well known film acting school. Although they have a broad curriculum for the dramatic arts, their commitment to refining every aspect of the actor has stood from when they first opened.
